Man Threatens Couple At Dinner, Cops Say

Nothing goes together quite like Chinese food and violent threats.

Such was allegedly the case for two peopleย last Sunday as Jared Throne, 27, approached them while ranting and raving in the Hong Kong Pearl restaurant on East Lincoln Highway in Middletown, according to police documents.

The victims were enjoying their meal shortly after 6 p.m. when Throne approached them ranting about the couple’s daughter and noting that the has an AK-47 that he could use to “f**k them up,” said official police paperwork.

Shortly after the altercation began, Throne was removed from the building by members of his own family, said court documents.

Throne is being charged with three misdemeanors relating to terroristic threats, fighting, and harassment. He is being held on $75,000 bail.

Throne’s preliminary hearing has been scheduled for November 19 at 9 a.m. at Judge Kelly’s court.
