Cops: Man Flees Officers, Carjacks 65 Year Old

A Warminster man is being sought by Falls Township police for allegedly carjacking a person Friday afternoon.

Eric Reynolds, 25, is wanted on charges including robbery of a motor vehicle, robbery, simple assault, conspiracy and related offenses. He is also wanted by Middletown police for retail theft.

A Falls officer began following a car with Reynolds in the passenger seat on Lincoln Highway after Middletown police reported he pulled off a retail theft at the Target store around 1:15 p.m. Friday, according to authorities.

As the car was pulled over at the BJ’s Gas Station on Commerce Boulevard, Reynolds and the driver were being detained when the 25 year old darted off. He eluded officers by jumping over fences, police said.

A short time later, Bucks County’s 9-1-1 center received reports a a 2014 black Subaru Forester with Connecticut plate 395-PRM was taken during a carjacking at the nearby Residence Inn on Cabot Boulevard. The victim was a 65-year-old man, police said.

Reynold, once a standout Central Bucks South High School football star, was convicted of robbing two women at gunpoint outside the Walmart in Upper Moreland, Montgomery County in 2010. He blamed the robbery on a heroin addiction.
