Silver Lake Nature Center in Bristol is hosting an after-school nature camp starting this month.
For 10 Thursdays starting September 17 and ending November 19, 6 to 12 year olds are invited to the camp that will allow youngsters all see the park has to offer, teach them about the habitats and creatures, play nature-related games, learn survival skills and more.

“Nature Campers are asked to bring a refillable water bottle, and to also wear clothes & shoes that they do not mind getting wet and/or dirty. It is also recommended to dress in layers to make sure all are prepared for the range of weather and temperatures since we will be outside most of the time every session,” according to a press release.
The 10-session camp costs $60 for nature center members and $80 for nonmembers. Preregistration is required in order to participate.
