Based off a lead from the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office, detectives from District Attorney David Heckler’s office began an investigation into Jones and statements she made after a two-car crash that happened in the 3400 block of Bristol-Oxford Valley Road on the evening of March 17.

Detectives wrote in court papers that Jones took out auto insurance for her crashed 2004 Nissan Altima on March 18 without telling the company of the crash.

Capitol Insurance Company provided the policy and reported Jones filed a claim for a crash on March 18. She allegedly stated the crash happened on Bristol-Oxford Valley Road.

The insurance company denied Jones’ claim after they discovered the crash happened on March 17, detectives said.

Jones told Bucks County Detectives that she was confused about the date of the accident, court papers stated.
