A lunch box accidentally dropped onto a stove causing a smokey kitchen fire in Levittown.
The homeowner tossed his lunch box toward the counter and it accidentally landed on the stove inside his residence in the 40 block of Timber Lane in Falls Township Tuesday afternoon. Moments later, he left to run some errands and returned a short time later to discover the fire, officials said.

Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito said the house was filled with smoke and the fire was smoldering when crews arrived around 4:50 p.m. Along with a melted lunch box on the stove, the kitchen cabinets were burnt.
The fire was placed under control by 5 p.m.
No injuries were reported, and the four dogs that lived in the home escaped safely.

Crews from the Fairless Hills, Falls Township, Levittown No. 1, Levittown No. 2 and Morrisville fire companies responded to the scene.
