
The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission and the Delaware River Fishermen’s Association are teaming up for a Family Fishing Day Silver Lake Nature Center in Bristol.
The event that will teach attendees about fishing fundamentals will be held Saturday, August 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. According to organizers, the event is free to all.

Activities will include fish identification, learning about equipment and fishing techniques. The first 25 kids who register for the Family Fishing Day will receive a free rod and reel, both compliments of Cabela’s and the Delaware River Fishermen’s Association.
Those who have fishing rods are asked to bring them, as there are a limited supply on hand.
