Neshaminy To Vote On Contracts For Administrators & Confidential Secretaries.

The Neshaminy School Board will vote this week on whether to approve new contracts for district administrators and confidential secretaries.

The new contracts will be considered during Tuesday evening’s 7 p.m. board meeting at the district administration offices at Maple Point Middle School in Middletown.

Members of the Neshaminy School District Administrators Association are up for a new contract after their last one expired on June 30. The proposed deal would be retroactive and run from July 1, 2015 until June 30, 2020.

Raises for the members of the association would be received every other year.

nsaacontractA district review of the proposal notes the 2015-2016 budget allots a $166,000 increase for a new contract. In reality, the new deal would only cost the district $142,700 more, saving $23,383 for this school year. The total payroll for the members of the Neshaminy School District Administrators Association is $4 million.

The union covers building principals, assistant principals, supervisors and directors.

The proposed deal with Neshaminy’s confidential secretaries and human resource assistants would retroactively take place starting July 1, 2015 and end on June 30, 2019.

As with the administrators’ contract, the deal would provide raises every other year.

Neshaminy recently approved a one-year contract with the Neshaminy Federation of Teachers.
