
A Trenton man allegedly stole money from the West Trenton Avenue Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen before fleeing in a taxi.
Miren Conway, 21, was charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, after police received a call of a theft in progress at 322 West Trenton Avenue.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Conway, a former employee, was inside the store fighting with a manager after he had taken cash from the register. Witnesses advised police that Conway entered a taxi cab before fleeing the area.
Officers were able to locate Conway, after a subject matching his description was found inside a taxi.
Conway was arraigned and sent to prison on 10 percent of $10,000 bail. He awaits a preliminary hearing scheduled for September 2.
