Man Charged With Breaking Into Vehicle In Middletown

According to Middletown Township police, a vehicle wasย burglarized once again in the township’s Quincy Hollow section.

Officers reported over the weekend that one man had been arrested after residents saw him inside a vehicle parked on Quail Road.

As noted in a probable cause affidavit, neighbors saw a man – later identified as Nicholas James Boeggeman, 22, of Levittown – wearing all dark clothing and rummaging around inside a Mitsubishi Endeavor. Police said a quick-thinking neighbor quickly called 9-1-1.

When police arrived to the development, they noted the man who fit the descriptions walking with a black backpack and initiated a pedestrianย stop, court papers state.

Boeggman told police he had assorted US coins and that he was walking to the Bristol Township Acme grocery store to deposit them.

The man who owned the car and stated to police he had given no one permission to enter his vehicle, and Boeggman subsequently admitted to breaking inside to steal the coins, telling police he wasย “short on cash, and needed the money.”

Boeggman was arrested and charged via mail summons with theft from a vehicle, receiving stolen property and liotering and prowling at night.
