Backer comes to Trevose-based TMA Bucks after recently serving as a legislative director in New Jersey. He is a graduate of Bloomsburg University.
The PennDOT-funded grant helps TMA Bucks work with towns that have areas with statistically higher numbers of traffic-related fatalities including teens and senior citizens. Backer will work to identify behaviors that contribute to higher crash rates such as aggressive driving, driving under the influence and distracted driving.
โTMA Bucks is excited to have Derrick on board to continue to manage this important and life-saving program in Bucks County,โ said TMA Bucks executive director Bill Brady. โOur organization remains committed to providing leadership on highway safety issues in the county and Derrick will continue to lead that charge.โ
