Teen Injured After Falling Down Cliff Along Neshaminy Creek

A teenage boy was hurt after falling off a cliff in Middletown late Monday afternoon.

The teen somehow lost his balance and fell about 20 feet down a cliff behind the 600 block of High Pointe Circle shortly before 5 p.m., Chief of Police Joseph Bartorilla said.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene and worked to provide aid to the boy, Bartorilla said.

According to the chief, the boy was conscious and talking when rescuers were tending to him. The extent of his injuries were unknown as of 7:15 p.m.

A medical helicopter from a Philadelphia hospital responded to the scene and landed at nearby Cherokee Day Camp on the Bensalem side of the creek. The boy was transported by air for further evaluation and treatment, Bartorilla said.
