The National Weather Service’s regional office in Mt. Holly, New Jersey advised of severe thunderstorms that could move through the area.
The Philadelphia region on Thursday was placed under an elevated risk of seeing storms with heavy rain, damaging winds and possible localized flooding, according to forecasters.

Along with the storm, forecasters warn there is an elevated risk of possible tornado activity.
Storms are expected to develop after 3 p.m. and the threat continues until midnight.
