History Instructor Receives Grant To Attend Holocaust Education Conference

Bucks County Community College history instructor Jerry Millevoi has received a grant to attend the 2015 Arthur and Rochelle Belfer National Conference for Educators at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C.

At the conference, which takes place July 12 to 14, attendees will work closely with museum staff, historians and expert educators and have exclusive access to museum exhibitions when the museum is closed to the public. They will develop lesson plans that focus on propaganda, teaching diverse audiences, and the relevance of the Holocaust today. They will also learn about opportunities to become teacher leaders in Holocaust education, and network with educators from around the country.

Millevoi has been an adjunct faculty member in Bucksโ€™ Social and Behavioral Sciences Department since 2008. He currently teaches U.S. History: Modern America, U.S. History: Young America, The American Indian, and Integration of Knowledge.The Doylestown resident, who has also received research grants from the National Endowment of the Humanities, is a member of the American Historical Association and the Organization of American Historians.
