Falls Township police have filed an arrest warrant for a man accused of a burglary.
The suspect – Nathan Adam Phillips, 22, of Bristol Borough – was taken into custody Monday night and sent to prison on a previous active warrant. Detective Matthew Tomcho filed the burglary-related warrant with charges of burglary, criminal trespassing, receiving stolen property Tuesday. Phillips has not yet been arraigned on the new charges as of early Tuesday afternoon.

Police alleged Phillips broke into a home on Newberry Lane in Levittown Sunday around 2 p.m. after he observed an open side window. The 22 year old knocked on the door of the home and received no answer; he then pushed out a window air conditioner unit that was held in place by cardboard and duct tape, according to court papers.
Phillips told Detective Sgt. Chris Clark during a Monday evening interview that he stole three gold rings, after which his girlfriend sold them at a local pawn shop. The proceeds were then used to buy heroin, police said.
Phillips’ girlfriend was not aware of how he obtained the rings that were valued by the homeowner at $1,500, police said.

Phillips told the detective he “scouted out” the Levittown area earlier Sunday for a house to burglarize, blaming the poor choice on his heroin addiction, court papers stated.
Police said Phillips turned himself over to authorities and later admitted to the burglary.

“We’re still investigating his possible role in any other burglary,” Clack told LevittownNow.com.
Over the past few weeks, Falls Township has seen a spree of burglaries. One teenager has been arrested in connection with at least one incident. Police have warned residents to be on alert.
