Chief of Police Joseph Bartorilla said Thursday afternoon that the investigation was still ongoing and officials were working to identify the man.
The man was working with a landscaping crew in the 1600 block of Redwood Avenue when he fell from a tree that was being cut down, Bartorilla said, adding that he believed a portion of the tree may have also fallen on the man.
A language barrier between the landscaping crew supervisor and police were hampered by a language barrier, the chief said.

The homeowner hired the crew after recently seeing them working on a home in Lower Southampton, according to Bartorilla.
He added that further information on the man’s death will likely come from the coroner’s office.
