A Middletown woman was sentenced to jail for sexual assaulting a teenage boy last summer.
On Tuesday, Bethann Wagner, 26, was sentenced to 11 1/2 to 23 months behind bars by Judge Wallace Bateman. Earlier this year, Wagner pleaded no contest to a charge of statutory sexual assault.

According to court documents, Wagner sexually assaulted a 13-year-old boy inside two houses on Washington Avenue in Middletown in August. She first plied him with alcohol, straddled him and then began kissing him during the sexual assault, the 13 year old told police. Another boy reportedly said he witnessed Wagner make out with the teen.
The boy went back home and told his parents Wagner tried to have sex with him, according to court papers.
Wagner underwent a competency evaluation earlier this year.
