The Neshaminy School District has hired the outgoing superintendent of the Bensalem School District to serve on an interim basis as their superintendent.
Dr. David Baugh will earn $640 per day to serve as interim superintendent and will be entitled to insurance offered to Neshaminy administrative staff, according to officials.

Baugh’s contract with Neshaminy will begin July 1 and run for at least one year, or until a permanent superintendent is hired. His last day of work in Bensalem is June 30.
Baugh will replace outgoing Neshaminy Superintendent Dr. Robert Copeland, who is leaving for the Lower Merion School District in Montgomery County.
Baugh, a Conshohocken, Montgomery County resident, elected not to renew his contract with Bensalem and has been looking for employment elsewhere. He made just over $166,000 in 2014 to lead the district of 6,200 students. During his tenure, Baugh weeded out corruption and fraud inside the district.

Bristol Township School District Superintendent Dr. Sam Lee was recently hired by Bensalem to lead their district. Lee recently spoke highly of Baugh and his leadership in Bensalem.
Baugh told LevittownNow.com he plans to apply for the full-time superintendent position in Neshaminy. He added that he is looking forward to serving a “great district like Neshaminy.”
