
Two Home Depot employeesย were injured whenย a Levittown man attempted to steal wire from the store.
Christopher Roehm, 34, of Levittown, was charged by Falls Township police with one felony count of retail theft, misdemeanor counts of receiving stolen property, simple assault and disorderly conduct, and a summary charge for harassment. He was arraigned and sent to prison on 10 percent of $75,000 bail.

On Friday afternoon, according to a probable cause affidavit, Rohem entered the Home Depot in Fairless Hills andย attempted to leave the store with three stolen rolls of electrical wire. According to information provided by store employees, the wire was valued at $577.71.
The security officer for the store said he saw Roehm pick up the wire and place it in his cart before leaving the store; it was then that the security officer apprehended Roehm and took him to the store’s security office. When the officer took Roehm to the office, heย reportedly became enraged and ran out, before shoving another Home Depot employee and knocking him to the ground. When the security officer caught up to Roehm, the 34-year-old manย reportedly struck the security officerย in the face and neck and placed him in a headlock, as noted in court documents.
According to police documents, the employee suffered a shoulder injury in the incident, while the security officer suffered swelling and bruises.

Roehm was previously charged with theft by unlawful taking in March by Falls Township police. Heย awaits a preliminary hearing with Judge Jan Vislosky set for June 23.
