TMA Bucks announced it will hold its first Annual Transportation Conference, Building for Tomorrow, on Friday, June 5 at Parx Casino East in Bensalem.

The half-day conference will run from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. and will feature Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick, who will offer the view from Washington DC on federal transportation funding, as the morning keynote speaker while recently confirmed PennDOT Secretary Leslie Richards will be the lunch keynote speaker.
The event will also feature two panel discussions focused on the ongoing I-95 corridor reconstruction: I-95 Reconstruction – Impacts and Alternatives and I-95 As Our Economic Artery – Planning for Mobility and Prosperity.
The I-95 Reconstruction – Impacts and Alternatives panel discussion will focus on the planning, design and construction efforts of PennDOT, SEPTA and the PA Turnpike Commission in lower Bucks County. The I-95 As Our Economic Artery – Planning for Mobility and Prosperity panel will discuss the importance of maintaining mobility on the corridor for the economic health and vitality of the Delaware Valley region and lower Bucks County in particular.

The cost to attend the conference, which will also include announcements of the TMA Bucks Foundation Scholarship winners and the election of TMA Bucks board of directors and officers, is $65 for members of TMA Bucks and $75 for non-members. Breakfast and lunch are included for all attendees. Each year, TMA Bucks awards Bucks County high school seniors who plan to pursue a course of post high school study in civil engineering, urban planning, transportation management or other related field scholarships from the TMA Bucks Foundation Scholarship Fund.
