
Two young men will head to Doylestown for trial in connection with a BB gun shooting that injured a teen.
David Black, 19, and Anthony Barnett, 18, waived their right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday before District Judge Frank Peranteau Sr. Black will stand trial on charges of aggravated assault, conspiracy, simple assault and related offenses, while Barnett waived charges of simple assault, conspiracy and possession of an instrument of crime. Prosecutors withdrew an aggravated assault and conspiracy charge that was filed against Black along with two aggravated assault and a single conspiracy charge from Barnett’s case, according to online court records.

The men are charged in connection with an April incident where a 14-year-old boy was shot in the eye with a BB pellet in 700 block of Pine Street.
The 14-year-old rode his bicycle to Lower Bucks Hospital for treatment and was transferred to Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia.
Both teens also had unrelated theft cases dismissed while in court.

Black is free on bail, and Barnett remains in county lockup unable to post bail.
