A trip to the restroom for Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Jeffrey Hand led to an arrest.
Hand was using the restroom at the Wawa on the corner of Veterans Highway (Route 413) and Bath Road around 11 a.m. Wednesday when he heard what sounded like the uncapping of a needle and tying of a tourniquet, according to a state police press release.

Hand and another trooper were waiting for the 24-year-old Levittown man when he came out of the bathroom stall, state police said.
While being questioned by troopers, the man admitted to possessing hypodermic needles, empty baggies of heroin and a packet of Suboxone for which he did not have a prescription, according to the release.
Troopers said they were aware of a problem with heroin use taking place inside the restrooms at the Wawa.

State police said they plan to charge the 24-year-old involved.
