“Truman High School students performed better than expected for the average student within the state, with consideration for the percentage of economically disadvantaged students, and its least-advantaged students performed better than similar students in the state,” according to a district statement.

The rankings are drawn from standardized test scores, success on Advanced Placement exams and student participation.

“Administrators, staff and faculty are working hard to make sure our students are on the right track. I am proud of what students and staff have accomplished,” James Moore, principal at Truman, said.
