Students at Penn Valley Elementary School in the North Park section of Falls Township helped honor members of the military Friday in honor of Armed Forces Day.
From 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, elementary students gathered in the school’s gymnasium to sing patriotic songs and listen to stories by members of the armed forces.

Students who had family members presently in or veterans of various branches were asked to invite their loved ones to be honored in the celebration.
