Serious Crash Closes Section Of Lincoln Highway


A serious crash in Falls Township closed a portion of Lincoln Highway Tuesday night.

Emergency responders were called to the 100 block of Lincoln Highway for the nasty-looking wreck around 6:15 p.m.

Police said a vehicle lost control for an unknown reason, struck a utility pole and flipped upside down.

“A female passenger was ejected and the male operator was pinned in the vehicle,” Lt. Hank Ward said, adding firefighters had to extricate the man from the vehicle.

Both victims were transported to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown in unknown condition.

Police said Lincoln Highway between Oxford Valley Road and Commerce Boulevard will be closed for several hours until utility crews can replace the damaged pole and downed wires.
