Earlier this year, the FOP’s newly-renovated lodge in Buckingham Township was heavily damaged by a fire started by an electric line during a winter storm. The lodge now needs thousands of dollars in repairs.

B2BA President Michelle Glasson, who also runs the local Benjamin Franklin Plumbing franchise, heard of the fire and said she knew the group had to help.

This Sunday, B2BA is holding a Fire Fund Cookout to benefit the FOP’s rebuilding efforts. The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the William Penn Fire Company in Hulmeville Borough.

“It’s not going to be your typical beef and beer,” she said.

Glasson said the cookout-themed event will feature delicious food, beer, wine, raffles and a DJ.

Tickets for the fun-filled cookout are $30.

“We will pick up the pieces and continue to move forward by restoring our lodge back to the condition it was in when we reopened back in August,” Bucks County FOP President and Tullytown Police Chief Daniel Doyle said following the fire.

“We just want to give back to the guys who are out there protecting us,” Glasson said.

Tickets can be purchased by calling 215-943-8333 or by emailing info@PaFOP53.org.
