
A wind-driven fire caused problems for firefighters in Falls Township on Saturday afternoon.
A commanding officer from Levittown Fire Company No. 1 spotted the header of black smoke in the distance while at baseball fields and contacted Bucks County 9-1-1, officials said. The fire happened at a camping center that is going out of business along Tyburn Road.

Falls Fire Company Chief Mike McClellan said his firefighters along with those from Fairless Hills, Levittown No. 1 and Morrisville fire companies responded to the scene and battle the flames that were fanned by winds. Some extra trucks were called due to water issues at the scene.
The fire hit damaged camping trailers and rubble at a scrapping facility.
The fire marshal’s office is investigating the origin of the blaze.
