Bristol Twp. Hires 2 Local Men To Join Police Force

Bristol Township has hired two new officers.

The township, which has recently battled an under-equipped police force, is continuing their mission to increase safety in the community. They also hired two new full-time officers in February.

On March 25, Bristol Township council welcomed the swearing in of Stephen Andrews and Thomas Leinhauser. Andrews, who started working for the department just five days later, is a graduate of Council Rock High School and the Montgomery County Community College Municipal Police Academy. He previously worked for nine months as a part-time officer in Tullytown Borough.

Leinheiser, is a graduate of Conwell Egan and Temple University. He graduated with a BA in Criminal Justice before graduating from Temple’s Municipal Police Academy. Leinhauser started work for the township’s police department on Monday.

โ€œWe are happy for the opportunity to further staff the police department and provide for the safety and service of township residents,โ€ said Council President Craig Bowen.
