According to police, Toner was involved in a crash in Bristol Borough Monday, January 5. A witness got a description of the striking vehicle and followed him into Bristol Township.

Daniel Doyle, Tullytown’s chief of police, caught an glimpse of the van Toner was in and tried to pull it over at 8:35 a.m., court papers say.

Toner then led Doyle and other police from Main Street in Tullytown to Trenton. Before stopping, Toner drove up and down some side streets in the city, police said.
