Pennsylvania State Police have charged two men in connection with an alleged violent assault that happened in Langhorne Borough.
Jason William Steere, 44, of Levittown, and Brian Jason Steere, 44, of Bensalem, were arraigned Wednesday on charges of robbery, aggravated assault, simple assault, corruption of minors, theft and related offenses.

Police said early in the morning of February 8 they were summoned to the Pine Watson Shopping Center for a report of a high school-aged male who had been attacked just before midnight on February 7.
The high schooler told police he had been attacked after an incident at a home where the Steeres reside. He said a member of the Steere family had blamed him for the earlier incident and threatened to fight him, court papers say.
The high schooler said he was walking near the shopping center around 11:50 p.m. with a male and female friend when three men pulled up in an SUV. Two older men began assaulting him and a third younger man ran after one of the people the victim was walking with, according to court papers.

At one point, all three men were attacking the victim. They stomped his glasses, took his phone and made a derogatory comment, state police said.
A witness told state police she saw one of the men take the high schooler’s cell phone.

A Middletown police officer assigned to Neshaminy High School told state police a member of the defendants’ family said there was an altercation involving the victim and and the Steere family.
Further investigation by troopers led to the arrest of the two men.
State police said the victim was treated at St. Mary Medical Center for a broken nose and concussion.

Jason and Brian Steere were released on $25,000 unsecured bail.
