Cops: BB Gun Mistaken For Real Firearm

Falls Township police were called to a Levittown neighborhood for a report of a possible weapon Monday evening.

Resident Shawn Higgs Jr. told LevittownNow.com via Twitter that police with their guns drawn were seen in the area of North Park Drive and Nickelhill Lane around 7:30 p.m.

Police said they responded and discovered a juvenile had pointed a BB rifle out of a window to shoot a bird; neighbors mistook the BB rifle for a real firearm.

The juvenile and his parents met with police at their station.

Lt. Hank Ward said Monday night that they were still working to determine if charges will be filed.
