Provided by the Neshaminy School District:
At the beginning of the school year, the Neshaminy High School Family and Consumer Science Majors set a goal to deliver 1,000 meals to Aid for Friends with help from the Service Learning Club. Last week, the Service Learning Club at NHS broke this goal after preparing and packaging 109 chicken and macaroni and cheese dinners.

With nearly half of this school year remaining, the students from both groups have prepared and packaged 1024 meals for this organization. Working with Aid for Friends helps students learn how to cook at little or no expense while serving the community. Students have raised the bar and have now made the new goal for this school year 2000 meals.
Started by the Schiavone family in their home kitchen, Aid for friends delivers approximately 500,000 meals to people in five neighboring South Eastern Pennsylvania counties who are “shut-ins” and therefore, cannot provide their own meals.
