Authorities say 52 people were arrested by police during a Thursday morning warrant sweep.
The Bucks County Sheriff’s Department and Bristol Township and Bensalem police conducted “Operation Sweetheart” and tracked down the several dozen wanted for criminal bench warrants, domestic relations bench warrants and local warrants.

By Thursday afternoon, 16 persons wanted on domestic relations warrants had been apprehended, owing a total of $ 237,040 in back child support. Thirty-three subjects were apprehended on criminal bench warrants. Bristol Township and Bensalem police also apprehended three subjects wanted on local charges, authorities said in a written release.
“This is a continued and cooperative effort between the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office and local Police Departments,” Sheriff Edward “Duke” Donnelly said. “These types of concentrated sweeps will continue throughout the County in cooperation with local law enforcement agencies. It is a win-win situation for the citizens of Bucks County.”

“I would like to thank both Bristol Township police and Bensalem Township police for their cooperation today that made this sweep a huge success. As I said before, if you have a warrant for your arrest, turn yourself in. We will not stop looking for you and will be knocking on your door soon,” Donnelly said.
