After waking up to a layer of ice on Monday, residents in Lower Bucks County woke up to a similar condition on Tuesday.
Following an evening of flurries, sleet and freezing rain, salt crews were spotted on area roads late Monday night. Residents in Langhorne were seen throwing salt on their driveway on North Green Street.

Bucks County remained under a winter weather advisory until early Tuesday morning. The advisory from the National Weather Service warned of icing on road and sidewalk surfaces.
Between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. Monday, the Bucks County 9-1-1 center handled 165 emergency calls, many more than usual due to the ice, according to Emergency Management Director Scott Forster.
Lt. Hank Ward of the Falls Township Police Department said they handled 12 auto accidents that were due to the weather conditions, three people were transported to hospitals for treatment from the crashes and eight people were taken for medical care after falling on the ice.

On Monday evening, Bristol Township School District Superintendent Dr. Samuel Lee said he was watching the conditions to see if a delay would be needed. By Tuesday morning, all the Levittown-area school districts called for two hour delays Tuesday due to the weather.
Local medical officials told LevittownNow.com hospitals were packed Monday morning due to ice-related injuries.

Tuesday’s forecast high temperature is expected to break freezing and help melt the ice layer.
