Have you cast your vote for the Buck’s County Teacher of the Year?
Voting for the annual award, given out by Inspire Federal Credit Union and the Bucks County Intermediate Unit #22, ends on Friday February 6.

The award is given to one Bucks County teacher who “shows a superior commitment to teaching, [has] a great impact on students, the school and the community, and goes above and beyond the normal duties of being a teacher.”
Nominations which began last month, have featured some of the finest teachers from right here at home, including Stacy Adams, a life skills teacher from Neil Armstrong Middle School and Sara Benner, a math/english teacher from Emerson Elementary School in Bristol Township; Lori Carpenter, a first through third grade teacher at Bucks Montessori Charter School, and Matthew Groden, a math teacher at Pennsbury High School East from the Pennsbury School District; Laura Krantz, a first grade teacher at Herbert Hoover Elementary, and Beth McGinty, a third grade teacher at Oliver Heckman Elementary School in Neshaminy School District; and Kate Hart, a science/social studies/religion teacher at the Pen Ryn School.
The top three nominees will move on to the final round of judging where they will be judged by a committee of Inspire Federal Credit Union board members, management and employees in addition to a BCIU employee. The winner will be announced at the Inspire Federal Credit Union annual meeting.

The grand prize winner and the winner’s school will win a $1,00 prize. The first and second runner up will win a $200 Visa gift card.
