A man claiming to work for the water company is wanted by Bristol Borough police after two recent incidents.

The man went to a home in the 800 block of Third Avenue and 900 block of Jefferson Avenue and told the residents he was from the water company and needed to do some work, police said Thursday.

The resident on Jefferson Avenue let the suspect in. A short time later, a woman residing in the home scared off the suspect when she found him in the area of bedroom, police said.

The man is not suspected of taking anything from the house, according to police.

Sgt. Joe Moors advised residents to always ask for a valid identification card from utility workers and don’t be hesitant to call police.
