For the past several weeks, Tullytown narcotics officers have worked tirelessly; and on January 21, according to officers, theyย removed a suspected drug dealer off the streets.

That suspected drug dealer, police say, is 33-year-old Jason Parkes. Parkes, who authorities were tipped off to in the beginning of the year, has reportedly been ,selling heroin out of his room at the New Falls Motel at 201 Lincoln Highway in Fairless Hills.

On January 21, Tullytown narcotics officers, working with Falls Township and Morrisville police, successfully brought Parkes into custody. He was charged with one felony count of criminal use of a communication facility, one felony count of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, one misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance, and one misdemeanor count of use or possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned on January 22 by Judge Leonard Brown and sent to Bucks County Prison on 10 percent of $150,000 bail.

Around noon on January 21, police met with a confidential informant (CI) as well as an undercover officer to verify the plan toย purchase $100 worthย of heroin from Parkes. The CI confirmed the sale with Parkes over the phone before agreeing to meet him in the motel room which he has been residing in, according to police.

Police were able to observe the sale via the surveillance equipment they set up at the New Falls Motel, according to court documents.

The CI and undercover officer were able to successfully purchase nine bags of heroin with $100 in pre-recorded buy money shortly after 12:45 p.m from Parkes. A field test conducted on a sample of the suspected heroin came back positive, as noted in the probable cause affidavit.

Later that afternoon, police learned that Parkes would be restocking with drugs, so later that evening, the CI, who was provided with $40, asked to meet Parkes again to purchase additional heroin. After the CI met with Parkes in his van and purchased four bags of heroin, Parkes was taken into custody by police. A search of Parkes by police revealed 13 bags of suspected heroin and the $40 in pre-recorded buy money on his person. The CI also provided police with theย four bags of heroin he purchased from the sale, according to police documents.

Parkes was charged back in October with the same drug-related charges in a separate incident with Falls Township police. He was released on 10 percent of $10,000 bail in late October. Parkes awaits a preliminary hearing scheduled with Judge Leonard Brown on February 4 regarding this incident.
