Bristol Township wants a special day to honor the men and women of law enforcement.
On Thursday night at the Bristol Township Council meeting, members of the board issued a proclamation which declares Saturday January 31 as Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.

Council President Bob Lewis said the proclamation is “in light of recent attacks against law enforcement across the county.”
Newly appointed Sgt. Ralph Johnson as well as a fellow Bristol Township officer accepted the proclamation from council.
Bucks County will be holding it’s own Law Enforcement Appreciation Day Rally at 4 p.m. on January 31ย in Core Creek State Park in Middletown.

Bristol Township has also chosen to honor all first responders for their work during the rescue and recovery mission at Riverside Industrial Complex. Anthony ‘Tony’ Gabriele lost his life there when a silo packed with dry concrete collapsed. The township will honor those involved at their next township meeting on February 5.
