She’s back!
After not attending a Pennsbury School Board meeting in person since September, Debbie DeBlasio was at Thursday night’s meeting at Fallsington Elementary School.

Her in-person attendance comes after months of attending meetings via phone, some of the time while admittedly at her house in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Bucks County District Attorney David Heckler told LevittownNow.com an investigation by his office has found Region 3 representative DeBlasio’s primary residence is in South Carolina and not Falls Township.
“Her secondary residence appeared to be in Falls Township,” Heckler said via phone Wednesday. “Ms. DeBlasio was less than forthcoming.”

While DeBlasio has brushed off the assertions and said earlier this week that she has no plans to resign, members of the public questioned her ethics Thursday night.

Lower Makefield resident Annette Dearolf asked DeBlasio to “resign immediately” and said the board should remove her if she doesn’t.

Solicitor Michael Clarke said the board cannot legally take action to remove DeBlasio. Any action would have to come through a quo warranto filing, which Heckler said he would support if a member of the public moved one forward.
“Asking someone to resign is just that, asking someone,” Clarke stated.
Matthew Arlen of Falls Township also spoke and asked DeBlasio to make the best decisions for the students and residents.

Aside from some comments on agenda items, DeBlasio had little to say to the public during the meeting.
DeBlasio when reached on the phone Wednesday evening said her Falls Township house is her primary address.

“I know where I live,”she said.
“Relocating to Myrtle Beach was one of the best decisions I ever made,” DeBlasio wrote in a Realtor.com profile.

Heckler said his office discovered several pieces of evidence indicating DeBlasio considered South Carolina as per primary residence.
“We were living in what we thought was our ‘dream house’ when we built it, but as we got more into our 50’s, we realized that paying $600 a month in property taxes would be a nightmare on a fixed income,” she wrote in her Realtor.com profile.

Dearolf did note the irony of DeBlasio writing about high taxes in her profile. DeBlasio voted last year via phone to increase taxes.
According to records, DeBlasio has attended 14 via phone since she was sworn in.
DeBlasio has served on the board since 2013.
