Two men were injured Friday following a bloody altercation at the Harpers Crossing condo complex, Middletown police say.
Police said they were called to the complex for an assault and arrived to find blood splattered on the walls, pavement, staircase and doors outside an apartment.

The incident reportedly started when Stephen Vesotsky, 38, of Philadelphia, threw a bag filled with dog poop at the door of the residence a floor below him, court papers say.
The couple in the apartment below believed Vesotsky was upset at their new puppy and went upstairs to talk to the man, court papers say.
The couple confronted Vesotsky about the bag of poop and he allegedly punched the male victim in the face and took the woman’s cellphone after she said she recorded the assault, police said. Vesotsky, according to court papers, then punched the already injured man again.

Vesotsky reportedly pushed the woman following the assault and ran to get her $350 cellphone he threw off his balcony during the alleged incident, court papers say.
While at Harpers Crossing, police were advised Vesotsky walked into the Aria Health System’s Falls Township campus. He reportedly told a nurse he “punched [his] neighbor in the face,” court papers say.

Police responded to the emergency room and spoke with Vesotsky.
The 38 year old said he was having sex with his girlfriend when he heard a pounding at the door. He opened it and was attacked by the man who lives downstairs, he claimed to police. Vesotsky added that his actions were in self defense and denied the dog poop incident and cellphone theft, according to court papers.
The victim suffered a fractured nose and needed stitches to close a laceration on his face.

Police said the bag of dog poop was found by a sergeant but the phone was not recovered.
Vesotsky was arraigned early Saturday morning on charges of robbery, simple assault, reckless endangerment, theft, receiving stolen property and several summary offenses. He was released Saturday on bail.
