A fire official at the scene said the mission has transitioned from a rescue operation to a recovery operation.

A source told LevittownNow.com the man believed buried under the pile of dry cement mix was last seen in the area of the silo shortly before the collapse.

Original Story:

Rescue crews from across Lower Bucks County were called to Bristol Township early Thursday morning for a silo collapse with possible entrapment.

Officials said the silo, which was filled with dry cement, collapsed around 3:30 a.m. at the Riverside Industrial Complex in the 7900 block of Radcliffe Street. As of 7:15 a.m., it was unclear if anyone was trapped underneath dry cement.

Edgely Fire Company Chief Carl Pierce said search teams from across Lower Bucks County were at the scene as of 7:20 a.m. searching for any possible victims. K-9 search teams were also called in.

The facility where the silo collapsed was opened when the incident happened.
