The Acme on New Falls Road in Bristol Township might have been a little dramatic when they put a sign in their lobby declaring a “winter storm warning.”
The black-and-white sign shows a map of the clipper system that is expected to drop 1 to 2 inches of snow on Tuesday. The National Weather Service had not issued a Winter Storm Warning in advance of the storm. Hours after the sign went up, an Winter Weather Advisory was issued for the area.

The sign also reads “Are you ready? Stock up now!!!!!”
As you most likely know, shoppers usually pack supermarkets leading up to weather events like snow falls. However, this is the first time we can remember seeing a grocery store posting a weather map in their lobby.
