
Bristol Borough District Justice Frank Peranteau Sr. dismissed charges of robbery, theft and receiving stolen property against Mahkell Litchauer,19, of Bristol, but held him for misdemeanor simple assault at Wednesday’s preliminary hearing in district court.
Lithchauer’s alleged co-conspirator, Jermaine Redfearn, 39, of Philadelphia, who had been accused of participating in theย October 2 robbery and assault, had all of his charges dismissed by Perenteau at his hearing on Wednesday.

The charges stem from the October 2 incident in which Bristol Borough police alleged the two men robbed a Buckley Street resident of his cell phone and assaulted him in the Plum Street alley between Race and Spruce Streets.
Officials said that the man testified about the confrontation, sayingย Litchauer punched him in the face while a second unidentified man hit him with a scooter.
The man testified he didn’t remember much about the incident, an official said.

The victim was injured in the alleged assault.
Prosecutors were granted a continuance for the second strong-arm robberyย Litchauer is accused of. That incident left three people injured on the 600 block of Race Street.

Peranteau reduced Litchauerโs bail for the alleged ย October 2 crime from 10 percent of $75,000 to $10,000. He remains in Bucks County prison on 10 percent of $250,000 bail in a second strong-arm robbery in Bristol he is accused of participating in.
Between September 30 and October 26, there were six robberies or attempted robberies in Bristol, with at least three alleged to have been at gun point.
As of post time police officials said those investigations are still “active and ongoing.”
