A Levittown contractor has won the bid to renovate Tullytown’s borough hall at 500 Main Street.
Quality Services Plus Inc. was awarded the $1,059,200 million job at last week’s council meeting. Another Bucks County contractor submitted the losing bid.

Borough Manager Alison Smith outlined the work planned for the building and said “value engineering” was used to make sure the project remained affordable. The project includes HVAC, lighting, ceiling, generators, roof, security and accessibility work.
A second, less expensive, phase to the project might happen depending on cost and necessity.

Before last week’s vote, the project was put out to bid three previous times. Throughout the bidding process, the project was retooled and the scope was changed.

No start date for the work was announced.
The borough administration and the police departments moved to temporary offices at 578 Main Street in late September as some roof work began on the borough hall.
