A fire at Laundry Depot on Durham Road in Penndel Borough caused minor damage Sunday afternoon.
Fire crews were dispatched to a smoky blaze inside the building in the 60 block of Durham Road at 3:56 p.m. By 4:12 p.m., the fire was under control and crews were cleaning up.

Fire Marshal Jim Bampfield said the blaze started in a dryer that was stuffed with nylon and cotton clothing.
A laundromat employee suffered a minor burn to his hand when he tried to pull out clothing from the burning dryer, Bampfield said.
Firefighters checked the area around the dryer to make sure flames did not spread, the Bampfield told LevittownNow.com.

The laundromat suffered only minor damaged and is expected to remain open.
Crews from Langhorne-Middletown, Newtown, Parkland and William Penn fire companies assisted Penndel units at the scene. The Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad also responded.
