Tullytown property owners will pay the same municipal tax rate as they did last year and will also continue to get a property improvement grant.
Tullytown Council voted Tuesday night to approve a $8.79 million 2015 budget. The municipal tax millage rate will remain at 11.5.

The borough will be transferring just over $2.5 million from saving accounts to cover expected expenses related to the upgrades needed for the administration and police building currently under renovation on Main Street.
The borough auditor said at last month’s meeting that 2015 revenues are expected to be comparable with past years. Tax revenues make up about 12 percent of borough revenues.
The Tullytown budget includes the annual property improvement grant to all property owners.

Part-time borough coordinator Alison Smith will also receive a pay raise as part of the new budget.
In addition to the agenda items at Tuesday’s meeting, the council voted to approve a $300 holiday bonus which will be given out to all borough employees.
