A man was killed Tuesday morning when a SEPTA Regional Rail train struck him on tracks behind a Route 13 shopping center in Bristol Borough.
The name and age of the man were not released as of press time as authorities from Amtrak, Bristol and SEPTA continued their probe of the fatal incident.

Bristol police said they were dispatched around 9:15 a.m. for reports of a person struck by a train. Authorities said they arrived to find the man deceased.
SEPTA spokesperson Heather Redfern said the train had just left the Bristol station and had 96 people aboard when the incident occurred. All of the passengers were uninjured.

The circumstances surrounding why the man was on the tracks remains under investigation, police said.
The train stopped between the Bristol and Croydon stations after the strike.
The coroner arrived just after 10:30 a.m. to collect the remains of the victim.
