Fire Injures 1 Person In Bristol Twp.

A fire broke out in Bristol Township Sunday evening.

Authorities told LevittownNow.com one person suffered injuries in the blaze in the 600 block Princess Avenue in Croydon.

Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said the victim, who was in her 50s, was transported to Aria Health’s Torresdale campus before being transferred to Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia.

Police, fire and medics were called to the house around 5:40 p.m. for the reported blaze. Flames were coming from one size of the house when the first units showed up.

Dippolito said arriving firefighters were able to quickly contain the blaze before the flames moved further through the house.

The fire started in the kitchen area of the home and may have been emanated from the stove, the fire marshal said.

A pet inside the home was uninjured, authorities said.

The investigation into the fire was expected to continue through Sunday evening.
