Police Say Intoxicated Man Threatened To Kill Them


A New Jersey man alleged of being intoxicated is accused of threatening several Middletown police officers.

Rasheem Boatwright, 23, of Blackwood, N.J., was charged Wednesday afternoon with seven counts of terroristic threats causing serious public inconvenience and single counts of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and public drunkenness. He was arraigned and sent to Bucks County prison 10 percent of $50,000.

Officers were dispatched to Oak Ridge Drive at 12:17 p.m. Wednesday for Boatwright, who was described by police as an unwanted, intoxicated person.

Officer Micheal Marks wrote in court papers that Boatwright smelled of alcohol.

“I ain’t got no name, I’m from the hood,” Boatwright allegedly told the officer. He reportedly finished with, “you’re going to have to f**king shoot me.”

While Marks was attempting to speak with Boatwright, the New Jersey resident repeated twice stated that he was “from the hood,” according to court papers.

Officer Mark McLeod arrived to the scene and Boatwright yelled in his face that “he was from the hood and going to kill us,” police wrote in court papers.

Boatwright kept pulling away while he was taken into custody, police said. He also is accused of screaming and cursing.

At the police station, Boatwright told at least five additional officers he was going to kill them, court papers say.

Boatwright’s behavior reportedly continued until he was lead into court before being sent to Bucks County prison.
