Officials from Summerwood Corporation, the largest franchise-owned restaurant company operating company in the Philadelphia area, announced this week that a Zio Gio quick service restaurant will be taking the place of the former Taco Bell in Bristol Township.

Zio Gio offers “authentic Italian Street Food for the first ever Italian drive-thru concept,” according to Summerwood spokesperson Joanna Ford.

Here’s how Summerwood Corporation describes the concept:

[It] will be totally reimagined, renovated, and reopened with a new quick service restaurant (QSR) brand in [Taco Bell’s] place. The concept will be the first ever that combines a focus on Philadelphia cheesesteaks and meatballs with the ease of drive-thru ordering, and will promise to deliver these favorite foods via incredibly fast state-of-the-art technology, both in-car and in-restaurant.

The Levittown location will be the first for Zio Gio. According to government records, Summerwood Corporation filed to Trademark the logo in early 2014.

The Zio Gio location is currently looking to staff up in preparation for a mid-December or early January 2015 opening. Ford said the eatery will employ between 25 and 35 people. Click here for an application.

The former Taco Bell that sat at the site has since moved to a new location near Bucks County Community College’s Bristol Township campus.
