A Croydon resident is accused of sexually assaulting and impregnating a 15-year-old girl in Bristol Township.

Anthony H. Bupp, 19, was charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of a minor and sexual assault. He was arraigned Thursday morning before District Judge Frank Peranteau Sr. and sent to Bucks County prison on 10 percent of $250,000 bail.

According to court papers, Bupp was investigated in October after a tip from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. The call was reported to an abuse tipline and alleged a 15-year-old was raped by Bupp in August.
The girl was interviewed by detectives and said she met Bupp in August. The two reportedly hung out the next day and he demanded sex. Bupp forcefully removed the girl’s pants during the sexual assault, according to court papers.
The girl later discovered she is pregnant with what is suspected to Bupp’s baby, police said.

In early October, Bupp told investigators he had consensual sex with the 15-year-old, court papers say. Bupp reportedly admitted to know he was four years older than the girl.
On October 13, Bupp and a 16-year-old girl ran away from Newtown and were found several days later in Myrtle Beach, S.C. after a search by Newtown police.

A warrant for Bupp’s arrest was filed by Bristol Township police the day after he was reported missing.
